Cultural censorship of social media and the impact of media productions (e.g. china, North Korea, and Turkey have a regime that silences the media. Countries' such as the UK and USA have 'free press' which allow it to criticize the government state. Western social media post may criticize the government regimes that are in place in China or Turkey. So they silence most of western social media in order to keep control of their citizens.  Countries like China then create their own social media that monitor and control its citizens through the social credit system. This deters Chinese people from talking badly about the government as it could effect their lives. Freedom of speech is when people are aloud to share ideas and talk freely about what they believe. However people use the idea of free speech to use offensive language online, inciting hate speech.
