Accessibility:
Accessibility means that people can do what they need to do in a similar amount of time and effort as someone that does not have a disability. It means that people are empowered, can be independent, and will not be frustrated by something that is poorly designed or implemented. (Allowing universal access and allowing anyone to get into it)
The equality act: 2010
The Act makes it unlawful to discriminate against someone on the grounds of any of these characteristics: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion/belief, sex (gender) and sexual orientation.
Accessibility options in PC, Video games, Phones?
Text to speech options and voice activated search features allow people who may be visually or audibly impaired to access search engines or games. Captions or comments below an image can be used by a screen reader for people who are blind, adjustable text and font would allow people to play the game. By adjusting the colour contrast this may help visually impaired people or people who are sensitive to bright loud colours. sticky keys and mouse speed help people with Parkinson's. Easy mode on games that help younger people, Mario kart steering.
A toggle mode for accessibility settings that allow the user to be in control of those things.
